RESOLUTIONS

of the Sixty-fifth Session of the Synod of Bishops of

Kiev-Galician Major Archbishopric of the UGCC

14-15 November 2014 year of God, Lviv-Bryukhovychi

1. Intensify the development of church-based Non-governmental pension fund "Pokrova" ("Protection"):

      1) acknowledge the Non-governmental pension fund "Pokrova" ("Protection") an essential tool of social protection of the clergy and laity of the UGCC;

      2) authorize the UGCC Patriarchal provisor to pick professionals for membership on the board of Non-governmental pension fund "Pokrova" ("Protection").

2. Approve the amended and supplemented Parish formulary of  Kyiv Galician Major Archbishopric of the UGCC.

3. Refer to the repeated second reading the Pastoral advisor "The vocation of the laity  to participate in social and political life of the country".

4. Refer to the repeated first reading the Pastoral instruction "Good Shepherd".

5. In order to ensure the proper pastoral care of victims injured during the Revolution of dignity (especially at Maidan) and in the zone of the Antiterrorist operation (ATO):

1) bless the creation in the Patriarchal Curia of the UGCC the Coordinating Council for the Pastoral Care in critical situations;

2) authorize the Most Reverend Bishop Bogdan (Manyshyn) to patronize this project in the Kiev-Galician Major Archbishopric of the UGCC;

3) ask the diocesan bishops to appoint in their archdioceses / eparchies / exarchates responsible for cooperation with the above mentioned Coordination Council.

 6. Support the project of renovation of the square of St. George in Lviv according to its original historic view and construction of the monument of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky of the sculptor Andriy Koverko's authorship.

7. The Sixty-sixth session of the Synod of Bishops of the Kyiv-Galician Major Archbishopric of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church will be held in January 2015 year of God.

 These regulations come into force on 1 December, 2014 year of God
