June 11, 2021 on the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Latin rite, an international charity organization “Aid to the Church in Need” arranged a Day of a benefactor in order to thank everyone who support the activity of this charity organization with their donations worldwide.

On this occasion employees of the Patriarchal Curia in Kyiv and Lviv prayed Moleben of Gratitude to the Most Holy Theotokos for benefactors of this organization and all patrons who support the UGCC.

Fr. Lubomyr Yavorsky, patriarchal economist of the UGCC who led the Moleben in the Patriarchal House in Lviv mentioned that we should remember that behind help of a big organization is a donation of a particular individual, so we are responsible for using resources provided to us as effective as possible. He also noted that values of an organization have to correspond to values of a donator. He assumes that this factor enhances the most effective service of the Church.

“Received donations we do not keep for the Church structure, we share them with the needy, forwarding them on by servicing”, Fr. Lubomyr emphasized.

Fr. Andriy Nahirniak, the administrator of the Patriarchal Curia, who led the Moleben in the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ mentioned: “Through the support of our benefactors we have an opportunity to develop our Church in Ukraine. This kind of benevolence teaches us to use these resources adequately and contribute to conducting pastoral mission in our Church”.

As for Iryna Havryshkevych, the head of the projects and programs of the Patriarchal Curia the organization “Aid to the Church in Need” is not just a long-term reliable partner of our Church but, first and foremost, they are our friends.
