On March 16, 2009, a meeting of the Pan-American Committee for the Development of the Patriarchal Center was held in Stamford (state of Connecticut, USA). The participants of the meeting worked out a plan of action for 2009. The important question of the agenda was a discussion of variants in special ways to note generous donors. The secretariat of the committee reported for the Information Department.
On March 16, 2009, a meeting of the Pan-American Committee for the Development of the Patriarchal Center was held in Stamford (state of Connecticut, USA). The participants of the meeting worked out a plan of action for 2009. The important question of the agenda was a discussion of variants in special ways to note generous donors. The secretariat of the committee reported for the Information Department. The Pan-American Committee for the Development of the Patriarchal Center decided to continue in May the fundraising campaign «The Cathedral Unites All» with the participation of the duet Pysanka [Easter egg], honored artists of Ukraine Oksana Savchuk and Ivan Kavatsyuk. The distribution of «bricks» continues, also. It was reported at the meeting that, thanks to the Christmas event that was conducted, 50 thousand US dollars were raised for the construction of the cathedral. Taking part in the meeting of the Pan-American Committee were: Bishop Paul (Chomnycky), Eparch of Stamford, head of the Committee; Fr. Ihor Midzak, head of the Diaspora Department of the Informational-Financial Support of the Construction of the Patriarchal Center, Fr. Martin Canavan, administrator of the Cathedral of St. Josaphat in Parma, Fr. Bohdan Danylo, rector of Saint Basil the Great Seminary, Myroslava Rozdol'ska, editor of the eparchial magazine «The Sower,» and Olena Ustyuzhantseva, secretary.
