Petro Fedyuk, CsSR, deputy of the director general of the Building Administration of the UGCC Patriarch, to the Information Department of the UGCC. By June 4th of this year, 1 million and 274 thousand Hryvnyas will have been spent for building and construction purposes. “The money that has been spent, when comparing it to the necessary fees for consistent and active construction, is insufficient,” said Fr. Petro. "We are presently in the process of determining which company will be best able to cover the central vault of the cathedral with green copper metal. One more company has to present their proposition, and then we will be choosing the best one, from the two, to carry out this work,” said the deputy of the director general. It takes at least one month to cover one segment (out of a total of 4 segmets), which measures over 200 square meters. The length of time required is a result of the specificities of the metal and the special method of its placement. In addition to the construction, matters related to the installment of a permanent power supply as well as adjustments to the plumbing and sewage system will be examined. As for the issue of heating of the cathedral, it will be dealt with separately after researching the most financially viable options.
