An animated movie about the sacred place in Krylos has been has been produced

Representatives of the Catechetical Commission of UGCC Kyiv-Halych Major Archbishopric together with the animation studio ART-Video recently presented an animated film about Krylos, the next in the film series Spiritual Necklaces.

The presentation was held on July 17 in Ivano-Frankivsk during a press conference on the II All-Ukrainian Patriarchal Pilgrimage to the Halych miraculous icon of the Mother of God located in the village of Krylos. The short animated film narrates a brief history of old Kniazhyi Halych [Princely Halych] – the capital of the kingdoms of Halych and Volodymyriya and the ancient seat of the Halych metropolitans and their churches.

Ms. Hanna Zholob, an assistant scholar on the staff of the Ancient Halych National Reserve, served as a consultant for this film.

We remind all that on August 3-4, 2013, on the occasion of the Year of Faith and the 1025^th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, there will be an All-Ukrainian Patriarchal Pilgrimage to the Halych miraculous icon of the Mother of God in Krylos village with the participation of His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), UGCC Head.
