An iconostas was blessed in the city of Tarragona, Spain

Before the Liturgy, Bishop Dionosiy blessed the iconostas, handcrafted by Ukrainian faithful.  Many pilgrims from all of Catalonia- Barcelona, Lleida and other cities gathered for this occasion.

In his sermon, the Apostolic Visitator explained the significance and importance of the iconostas in the cathedral, shared his personal experience of the presence of God’s love in his service and taught a prayer in which one dedicates oneself to God’s Mother.

Towards the end of the Liturgy, Mons. Jaume Pujol, Archbishop of Tarragona, greeted the assembled and thanked them for their witnessing of faith and their preservation of Christian traditions.

Rev. Ivan Levytsky, chaplain of the community, expressed his gratitude to Archbishop Jaume for visiting the community and the possibility of gathering at St. Paul Cathedral for prayer.

The celebration closed with a reception in the church hall.

On that day, Bishop Dionisiy visited the Ukrainian community in Barcelona.  During the Liturgy in the Cathedral of Our Mother of God of Perpetual Help, the hierarch emphasized the importance of participating in the Liturgy every Sunday and overcoming fear in giving oneself to the service of God, mentioning the recent Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin.

Finally, the children greeted the Apostolic Visitator on the occasion of his 40th anniversary of priesthood.
