On July 2, 2009, at the conference hall of the Archeparchy of Lviv, Bishop Joseph (Milyan), auxiliary bishop of Kyivan Archeparchy, met with representatives of eparchies in Ukraine to inform them about a second tour of fundraising concerts.
On July 2, 2009, at the conference hall of the Archeparchy of Lviv, Bishop Joseph (Milyan), auxiliary bishop of Kyivan Archeparchy, met with representatives of eparchies in Ukraine to inform them about a second tour of fundraising concerts. Concerts will be held from September 7 to 22 in Lviv, Ternopil’, Ivano-Frankivs’k, Buchach, Drohobych, Truskavets’, Zhovkva, Stryj, Tchernivtsi, Kolomyja, Luts’k and Rivne. This time the UGCC will emphasize popular Ukrainian songs. Participating musicians include: Taras Petrynenko and Tetyana Horobets’, vocal ensemble Pikkardiys’ka Terzia, S.K.A.Y, Hudimov, Horhisheli, leader of Mandry Foma, Natalie and Daryna (Mamay) Sumski, Ihor Miroshnychenko. The concert producer is Serhiy Arkhypchuk.  Bishop Joseph explained that because of the first tour of fundraising concerts, “With Faith and Love,” a heating system is being installed in the cathedral and the central dome is being finished. Fr. Vasyl Vil'chyk, head of the fundraising department for the Committee for the Development of the Patriarchal center, reported at the meeting that during the academic music concerts, over 800 thousand hryvnyas were raised for the cathedral.
