At Easter the Head of the UGCC talked about the importance of the resurrection in everybody’s life

On the occasion of the Feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Head of the UGCC, in concelebration with Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh), auxiliary bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy, Fr. Yosyf (Milyan), auxiliary bishop-designate of the Kyiv Archeparchy, and numerous clergy of the UGCC, celebrated a solemn Divine Liturgy in the Church of Saint Basil the Great in the city of Kyiv (Voznesens’kyj uzviz, 7, near Lviv Square). The Liturgy, like the divine services which took place that night, was broadcast live by the First National Channel. In his sermon His Beatitude Lubomyr, based on the example of the life and activity of Saint Paul the Apostle, talked about the importance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. According to the preacher, on the road to Damascus, the apostle Paul met the Lord and understood that all that Jesus Christ preached is the truth; in fact the Savior confirmed it with His resurrection. «From that minute this man used all his talents to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the saving truth, which originates from the living God, Who even today lives with people. During his sermon the Head of the UGCC voiced his hope that soon the parish feast day will be able to be celebrated in the cathedral itself.
