Bishop Benedykt attended the meetings of the Conference of Roman Catholic Bishops of Poland

A plenary meeting of the Conference of Roman Catholic Bishops of Poland was held on March 3-5, 2013 in Warsaw. It was attended y Bishop Benedykt, auxiliary bishop of Lviv Archeparchy.

A plenary meeting of the Conference of Roman Catholic Bishops of Poland was held on March 3-5, 2013 in Warsaw.  It was attended y Bishop Benedykt, auxiliary bishop of Lviv Archeparchy.

The meeting was headed by Bishop Józef Michalik, Archbishop of  Przemyśl. Attending the meeting were also Archbishop Celestino Migliore,  Apostolic Nuncio to Poland, bishops from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Slovenia, Hungary, Ukraine, France, and the Czech Republic. It is to be noted that Bishop Benedykt was sent to this plenary session by his Beatitude Sviatoslav, UGCC Head, as a representative of our Church. First of all, the bishops composed a letter to express their gratitude to Benedict XVI for his Pontificate.  They examined significant questions in realm of bioethics and their adaptation to current laws.  Also discussed was the necessity to develop church mass information capacities with easy access for all faithful. The meeting also devoted time to examining the plans for the celebration of the Year of Faith in the Catholic Church.  At the end, the bishops supported a resolution to encourage the faithful to pray for the cardinal-electors of the new Universal Pontiff.
