In addition, as part of the stay in Canada, there is planned a meeting with priests at which the guest from Ukraine will try to enlist them in collecting money for the construction of the cathedral. "In fact, when the pastors are convinced about some project and personally support it, the effect from any collection is better than when it is done by the efforts of a few volunteers," noted Bishop Bohdan. According to the head of the Supervisory Council of the Construction of the Patriarchal Center of the UGCC, the idea is to allow the faithful of the UGCC in Canada to feel closeness to their homeland, to revive and support a sense of co-responsibility for the Ukrainian Church and the construction of the Patriarchal Center, which has a unique value not only for Ukraine but also for our whole Church in the world. In fact it should become a symbol of the unity of all Greek-Catholics in Ukraine and abroad. "It is precisely this idea that I intend to carry to the laity and clergy of Canada. And I hope that information obtained from me, at first hand as the head of the Supervisory Council, will be received with gratitude and help make collection efforts more active in our metropolitanate in Canada," said Bishop Bohdan in conclusion. We call to mind that the auxiliary bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy travelled to the USA on a similar mission last year. His visited from March 6 to 30. At that time Bishop Bohdan visited communities of our Church in Newark, Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, Stamford, Rochester, Miami and Saint Petersburg.
