Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh) took part in the enthronement ceremony of a new Bishop of Maramuresh Eparchy in Romania.

Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh), Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, as a delegate of His Beatitude Svitoslav, the Head of the UGCC, joined a Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the enthronement of a new Bishop of Maramureş Eparchy of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church - the Most Rev. Vasile (Bizău). The celebrations took place on 23 July 2011 in Baia-Mare (Romania).
Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh), Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, as a delegate of His Beatitude Svitoslav, the Head of the UGCC, joined a Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the enthronement of a new Bishop of Maramureş Eparchy of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church - the Most Rev. Vasile (Bizău). The celebrations took place on 23 July 2011 in Baia-Mare (Romania). Prior to this appointment, Bishop Vasile served as a Bishop of Curia. After passing away of Bishop Ioan Sisestean on 12 April 2011, the Synod of Bishops of the RGCC appointed Bishop Vasile (Bizău) as his successor. His Beatitude Lucian (Mureşan), the Head of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church, presided at a Pontifical Divine Liturgy. Along with the Head of the RGCC, at the Liturgy concelebrated 6 Bishops of the RGCC as well as Bishop Bohdan Dzryurakh – Secretary of the Synod of  Bishops of the UGCC,  Bishop Milan (Šašík) – Eparch of Mukachevo, Bishop Fulop (Kocsis) – the Head of the Hungarian Greek-Catholic Church and Bishop Atanasiy. On behalf of His Beatitude Sviatoslav and the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, Bishop Bohdan wished His Excellency Bishop Vasile “to be a master of faith, a good father for his priests and his faithful who put trust in him”. Besides that, Bishop Bohdan expressed his gratitude to the Episcopate of the Romanian Greek Catholic Church for the support given to the UGCC parishes in Romania and wished a “fruitful collaboration between our Churches”. At the end of the Liturgy Bishop Bohdan presented the new ruling Bishop of Maramureş Eparchy with a copy of Zarvanytsia Icon. The same day Bishop Bohdan also had a meeting with Vicar General for the Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Romania, Rev. Ivan Voloshchuk, and discussed the actual state as well as difficulties and prospectives for the Ukrainian parishes in Romania. It is ranked as a Major Archiepiscopal Church and uses the Byzantine liturgical rite in the Romanian language. Since 1994, the Romanian Greek-Catholic Church has been led by the Most Reverend Lucian Mureşan, Archbishop of Fagaras and Alba Iulia, who on December 16, 2005 became its first Major Archbishop when it was raised to the rank of a Major Archiepiscopal Church by Benedict XVI. The residence of the Major Archbishop is in Blazh. The Church has four Eparchies in Romania (Eparchy of Oradea Mare, Eparchy of Cluj-Gherla, Eparchy of Lugoj and Eparchy of Maramureş) and one in the USA. According to the information given in the 2007 "Annuario Pontificio", the Romania Greek Catholic Church numbers 776,000 faithful.
