On February 8, 2009, Reverend Bishop Bohdan (Dzyurakh), auxiliary bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy, on the occasion of the church’s patronal feast made a pastoral visit to the Parish of Three Saints in the town of Brovary. The visit began with a pontifical Divine Liturgy. Concelebrating the Liturgy with Bishop Bohdan were Fr. Oleh Panchynyak, administrator of the parish, Fr. Ihor Yatsiv, head of the Information Department of the UGCC, and Fr. Oleh Oleksa, personal secretary of His Beatitude Lubomyr. In his sermon the auxiliary bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy noted the importance of celebrating the resurrection of Christ, "because today many people still live as if Christ did not rise." In addition, the preacher called those presents at the Liturgy to "live by the living God, and not human tradition," giving as an example the three saints: Basil the Great, John Chrysostom and Gregory the Theologian. At the end of his sermon the Bishop condemned disgraceful phenomena like hedonism which touch all the levels of our society. He noted in particular: "Many people today live only for the sake of satisfaction, and such a life has nothing in common with the evangelical life which Christ preached and His Church continues to preach." After the Liturgy the faithful thanked the Bishop for his fatherly warmth, love and humane concern. Consequently, the youngest participants of the divine service caroled for and greeted the honored guest, in this way saying goodbye with a carol until next year. Then Bishop Bohdan prayed for the beginning of construction of the church and asked all to promote and help in this affair pleasing to God. At the completion of the festivity the hierarch spoke with the participants. It should be noted that present at the Liturgy were many new people, whom the auxiliary bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy told about the history of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, its work and prospects.
