Bishop Hlib (Lonchyna) conducted a retreat for the priests, seminarians and monks of the International Theological Institute in Austria

From March 8 to 11, 2009, at the invitation of the rector of the International Theological Institute in Austria, Bishop Hlib (Lonchyna) conducted retreats for the priests, seminarians and monks who study and work at this institute. In the retreat took part clergy of Greek-Catholic and Roman Catholic Churches from Austria, the USA, Slovakia, Russia and Ukraine.
From March 8 to 11, 2009, at the invitation of the rector of the International Theological Institute in Austria, Bishop Hlib (Lonchyna) conducted retreats for the priests, seminarians and monks who study and work at this institute. In the retreat took part clergy of Greek-Catholic and Roman Catholic Churches from Austria, the USA, Slovakia, Russia and Ukraine. The theme of the retreat was the UGCC’s theme for 2009, namely: «The Christian vocation with a special accent on priestly vocations.» Bishop Hlib conducted six lessons at the retreat: «Our father in faith, Abraham,», «The woman of faith is Mary, the first believer of the New Testament,» «To live life for the sake of others,» «Rejecting love,» «Salvation has come to this house,» and «The last words of Jesus on the cross.» The retreat was conducted in the monastery of the monks of the Community of Saint John in the town of Markheg (Austria). After completing the retreat Bishop Hlib celebrated the first Divine Liturgy in the chapel of the castle of Trumau and blessed the land intended for the building of a new complex of the International Theological Institute in Trumau.
