Bishop Yosyf Milyan congratulated His Beatitutde Sviatoslav on the 11th anniversary of his episcopal installation

“May God with his mercy grant You talents and grace, which Maria received from Him too, for being perfect in fulfilling His will. We can probably accomplish great deeds. But what is the most important for every Christian and, particularly, to a priest and bishop – to accomplish God’s will”.

With these words bishop Yosyf Milyan, bishop auxiliary of Kyiv Archeparchy of the UGCC congratulated His Beatitude Sviatoslav on the 11^th anniversary of his episcopal installation on April 7, 2020.

Greetings were brought after the Divine Liturgy with Vespers, celebrated in the Annunciation Cathedral, near the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ.

The bishop reflected how 11 years ago at Saint George Cathedral on the day of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Episcopal Ordination and Installation Service of His Beatitude Sviatoslav took place.
“As in concordance with Maria, a new archbishop said: “Wherever I am, I will always remain an archbishop of my Church. I will fight for its wellbeing and development”. It was a thankful word of a present Patriarch Sviatoslav who was going to start his service in Argentina”, mentioned a bishop of Kyiv Archeparchy.

Moving on, the bishop said that this event was concordant with today’s feast: “as Maria didn’t know what was expecting her, what would be a reaction of Joseph, so a young bishop, a former rector of Lviv spiritual seminary had a lot of unknown paths in front of him”. “So today we want to congratulate You, Your Beatitude, with that courage you took upon yourself then. We also congratulate you on the occasion You celebrated in March as Head of our Church. We thank God that You agreed then. Thank You for giving a good example to the Church and everyone who follows You, who hears You and see Your deeds. May God be over You and lead You on this land. By Your prayers, may God bless our nation, our Church and, especially, You with healthy, salutary and many happy years”, bishop Yosyf Milyan wished Head of Church.
