It is well-know that in the current media sphere there is a lack of cartoons beneficial for children.  Given this, the Catechetical Commission of UGCC Kyiv-Halych Major Archbishopric together with the video project With Love to Children and the animation studio ART-Video have completed a project of cartoons featuring religious topics.

Commission representatives hope that the appearance of Ukrainian religious films will serve as an alternative to most current cartoons that present evil, violence and aggression and provoke children to replicate these in real life.

The cartoon about Holy Sacraments delves into the essence and depth of each one of the seven sacraments.  Therefore, this material will be useful not only for children but also for their parents, who are the first teachers of faith to their children, as well as catechists who can use these in their classes.

“A Spiritual Necklace—Stradch” narrates in a direct and interesting style the history of the pearl of Ukrainian Christian Pilgrimage that is found in Stradch. According to Rev. Andriy Stadnytskyi, the vice-director of the Catechetical Commission of UGCC Kyiv-Halych Major Archbishopric, Christian churches in Ukraine are the prayerful song of the Ukrainian people to Almighty God, “resounding from ancient times up to the present.”  This film will also be useful for viewers of all ages. We take this opportunity to remind readers that the All-Ukrainian Patriarchal Pilgrimage to Stardch will take place on June 26, 2013.
