Following the Paschal Matins Bishop Paul accompanied by Very Rev. Mitred Archpriest Ihor Midzak, St. Vladimir’s Cathedral rector, Very Rev. Archpriest Bohdan Danylo, St. Basil’s College Seminary rector, Rev. Maxim Kobasuk, OSBM, Spiritual Director, and Rev. Deacon Vasyl Behay, celebrated the Pontifical Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.  In his sermon Bishop Chomnycky said: “Today, we have received sufficient testimony, sufficient signs, that Jesus Christ has overcome death - in Himself and for our sake.  It is now up to us to cling to Him in faith, and love, so that we may personally enter into this mystery of freedom from the power of death, the mystery of Resurrection unto eternal life. Let us celebrate our liberation from the power of darkness and the shadow of death, and let us come into the light of grace and joy of Christ’s resurrection.” At the end of the Liturgy Father Ihor Midzak thanked Bishop Paul for leading entire cathedral parish community in all the services of the Holy Week and Easter and wished everyone happy and healthy Easter Season.
