Charity concerts were discussed during a press conference at UNIAN

And we want to present to those who will be spectators, listeners, the opportunity to experience deeply such a meeting, a meeting with values which do not pass away easily.» So said His Beatitude Lubomyr, Head of the UGCC, during a press conference at UNIAN. Also speaking with the journalists were producer-director Serhiy Arkhypchuk, singer Petro Pryjmak, actor Yevhen Nyschuk, and writer Ivan Malkovych.

Also speaking with the journalists were producer-director Serhiy Arkhypchuk, singer Petro Pryjmak, actor Yevhen Nyschuk, and writer Ivan Malkovych. The press conference, which took place on April 27, 2009, was conducted on the eve of the beginning of the charity concerts of academic music «With faith and love.» The concerts will take place on May 1, 2, 3, and 5 in four cities of Ukraine. The first concert will be in Ivano-Frankivs’k, then in Ternopil’ and Lviv. The final one will take place at the National Opera of Ukraine in Kyiv. Opera singers Viktoriya Lukyanets’ and Taras Shtonda, Pavlo and Petro Prymaky, sisters Natalia and Halyna Datsko, pianist Oleksandr Kozarenko, violinist Nazar Pilatyuk, and also poets Ivan Malkovych and Vasyl Gerasymyuk will take part in the project. The repertoire will combine world classics with folk music. The concerts are for charity. The profits will be used for the completion of the construction of the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in the capital. In addition, in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Lviv and Kyiv His Beatitude Lubomyr will award three exclusive honors – gold, silver, and bronze – to those donors who made the greatest contribution to the charitable project.  Those interested can purchase tickets and in this way make an offering for the completion of the construction of the Patriarchal Cathedral.
