According to UGCC Odesa-Crimea Exarch, the construction of the church is a blessing and a grace from God for the people who reside here.  As is known, the Greek-Catholic community in Mykolaiv was registered in 2005.  In 2012, a parcel of land was allotted in the Northern micro-region, in the coastal zone of Mykolayiv.

“At the time of my arrival here as the first UGCC priest, the Mykolaiv parish numbered only eight persons.  Now we have weekly Liturgy in the Roman Catholic church since we do not have our own accommodations.  Some 50-60 people attend the Liturgy.  The community numbers much more -- over 150 people,” related the prior of the Greek-Catholic community, Rev. Taras Pavlius.

The first Greek-Catholic church in Mykolaiv will be constructed in the coastal region of the Northern micro-region, on Architect Starova Street.
