This is the first church of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, where, on request of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, starting with November 7 medical workers will vaccinate all those who wish against COVID.

People will be able to get vaccinated at the Patriarchal Cathedral between 10 am and 5 pm daily. The vaccines available are: AstraZeneca, CoronaVac and Pfizer. To get vaccinated the previous registration is not required. It is suffice to come and register in place, the website of the cathedral informs.

The fact that the UGCC churches will start running a campaign of vaccination posts was brought up by His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC on Sunday, November 7.

“We received a request from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to open our churches and monasteries, if necessary, to organize vaccination centers as we promised at the beginning of the pandemic”, he said.

The Head of the Church assumes that there are four conditions which might help to minister to life today: not to be afraid of a vaccine, wear masks, keep social distancing and wash hands.

At the end the spiritual leader added that our Church in Ukraine and around the world is trying to do everything possible in order to save lives and protect health.
