The opening of a photo exhibition of Polish photographer Witold Flak will take place on May 25, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Theology and Philosophy Faculty of UCU (35 Khutorivka St.). Before the opening, the photographer will hold meeting in the meeting hall of the Theology and Philosophy Faculty about “What is a photograph and what has it become for me?” Witold Flak will share his experience and observations, will describe how his interest in photography grew into a serious career, how it became real art. At the meeting some of his photos from his project Weddings of the World will be on display. “The pictures of Witold Flak show that he is interested in the person, which can be understood by the name of this exhibition. The author in a way researches a person through the lens of a camera, but does it with great respect, and even with love. It is with love that the Lord looks at a person, as is interpreted by the church, theology, and Christian philosophy. Therefore this photo exhibition is very close to us in spirit,” says the dean of the Theology and Philosophy Faculty of UCU Fr. Ihor Boyko.
