Fifth stage of educational courses for priests and deacons of the Stryj Eparchy begins

On Monday, August 16, 2010, with the blessing of Bishop Taras (Senkiv), Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of Stryj of the UGCC, began the fifth stage of educational courses. About two hundred priests and deacons of the Stryj Eparchy will participate in the course.
On Monday, August 16, 2010, with the blessing of Bishop Taras (Senkiv), Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of Stryj of the UGCC, began the fifth stage of educational courses. About two hundred priests and deacons of the Stryj Eparchy will participate in the course. This year’s courses began with a joint prayer to the Holy Spirit. The first two lectures on the subject of Ukrainian ethnology were given by Mrs. Oksana Sapelyak, candidate in history, senior research worker at the Institute of Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The next four lectures on Christology were given by Fr. Bohdan Martsinovskyj, licentiate of dogmatic theology, teacher at the Ivano-Frankivsk Theology Academy. As part of this year’s courses, the priests will have the opportunity to listen lectures on the following subjects: Christology, moral theology, bioethics, Ukrainian ethnology, the church and social questions, energy saving technology for heating churches, and “new evangelization” in parochial communities.  The courses will take place from August to November 2010 in the Spiritual Education building of the parish of All Saints of the Ukrainian nation in Stryj.
