Today, on April 15, Patriarchal center in Lviv (Khutorivka Str. 35B) hosted 11 medicals from Hospital #8 in Lviv. Among them are doctors and nurses who after a weekly watch duty will stay here for observation.

“They feel good. They are all healthy for the day and pleased with their living conditions as well as communication means, provided for them. They have an opportunity for a three-course-meal in the Hotel “Patriarch”. At the disposal are even more rooms for 50 people overall. Thus, we are open for other hospitals’ requests and ready to settle those medicals who are in need of that”, told Sr. Sevastiana Karvatska in her comment to a religious internet-resource “Spiritual grandeur of Lviv”.

Fr. Lubomyr Javorski mentions that Hotel “Patriarch” follows all safety conditions in order to prevent virus from spreading: a separate entrance for medicals who are at observation, disposable cutlery, which is utilized immediately after its usage, etc. “Sr. Sevastiana together with our medical chaplains was personally responsible for settling medicals in our Hotel. The first ones have arrived today, but their number will only increase”, Fr. Lubomyr emphasized.

Last week representatives of Commission for Health and Pastoral Care of the UGCC and Lviv City Council had a meeting and agreement on active collaboration. Tests have been given with a help of the city council, so all medical chaplains could be tested, as well as clergy of Lviv archeparchy and other confessions.
