Forty-five teams will compete in the tournament of mini-football for the Ivano-Frankivsk Archeparchy Cup

The match was blessed by Volodymyr (Viytyshyn), Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk and it is being held within the framework of the Year of Faith, the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine, as well as a realization of the UGCC strategy 2020 “The vibrant parish – a place to encounter the living Christ.”

The match was blessed by Volodymyr (Viytyshyn), Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk and it is being held within the framework of the Year of Faith, the celebration of the 1025^th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine, as well as a realization of the UGCC strategy 2020 “The vibrant parish – a place to encounter the living Christ.”

Participants in the tournament were teams of seminarians, priests, laity and youth from parishes of UGCC Ivano-Frankivsk Archeparchy.

“Football is one of the main factors of youth apostolate…” noted Rev. Oleh Kaskiv, protosynkel of the archeparchy who in the name of Metropolitan Volodymyr blessed the opening of the tournament. The tournament is being held with the support of the Main Administration in Matters of Family, Youth and Sports of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region Administration and the Ivano-Frankivsk Center of Health “Sports for All.”
