Head of the Greek Catholic Church to take part in a Liturgy at the University Church of Blessed Martyrs of the UGCC

On September 1, 2010, Bishop Dimitrios Salachas will take part in a Liturgy at the University Church of Blessed Martyrs of the UGCC, which is near Stryiskiyi park in Lviv. After talking with the students of the Catholic university, the head of the Greek Catholic church will also meet with the seminarians of the Lviv Spiritual Seminary of the UGCC.
On September 1, 2010, Bishop Dimitrios Salachas will take part in a Liturgy at the University Church of Blessed Martyrs of the UGCC, which is near Stryiskiyi park in Lviv. After talking with the students of the Catholic university, the head of the Greek Catholic church will also meet with the seminarians of the Lviv Spiritual Seminary of the UGCC. On meeting with the seminarians Bishop Salckhas will read a lecture “Holy Sacraments in two codes.” The bishop was a professor of canon law at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome. Bishop Dimitrios heads the Greek Catholic Church since May 2008. The church has 5,000 parishioners, most of whom live in Athens, and on the Aegean islands of Siros and Tinos, which traditionally had a large Catholic population. A few parishes of the exarchate exist in countries of western Europe.
