Head of UGCC awarded Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Shigeki Sumy with Patriarchal Diploma

His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, awarded Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Shigeki Sumy with Patriarchal Diploma.

The letter was presented by Bishop Bohdan Dziurakh, Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC.

“As a sign of recognition of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church for your valuable contribution to the development of our Church, for your tireless efforts to support Ukraine on the international arena, and especially for the personal testimony of Christian values in the diplomatic service, please accept my sincere congratulations," it reads in the Letter.


His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished the Ambassador that his high ideals his life is based upon continue to inspire him in the years ahead. These days, Shigeki Sumy completes his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.
