Head of UGCC congratulated bishop-nominee Oleksandr Yazlovetskiy with his installation

Head and Father of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church His Beatitude Sviatoslav together with the Synod of Bishops of UGCC congratulated a bishop-nominee Oleksandr Yazlovetski on being installed a bishop-auxiliary of Kyiv and Zhytomyr diocese of Roman Catholic Church.

“We are happy for bishop Vitaliy who has got today a faithful assistant and counsellor in fulfilling obligations. This choice is a fruit of prayers of your parents, priors, lay-brothers in monasticism, monks and nuns and numerous believers of Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine is a sign of a great faith and great trust of bishops in You, being a devoted performer of God’s will”, says a greeting letter.

“Now You have a wider opportunity to serve with those talents God blessed You with and which You have multiplied embracing important church roles, - to all who, due to a sin and ignorance, lack God’s love”.

Head of UGCC wished a bishop-nominee to live days full of deeds for God’s glory. “Let goodness and God’s blessing be multiplied in ministering entrusted to You. Mainly today God invites us, Catholics of eastern and western traditions be preachers of the Resurrection of His Son for the dwellers of our long-suffering Ukraine. He calls us to heal their wounds caused by sins and sooth sufferings, infected by war in all possible ways”, is said in the letter.
