His Beatitude Liubomyr had a meeting with the pupils in Zarvanytsya

On the 21st of November, His Beatitude Liubomyr (Huzar) in the course of his visit of the youth of Ternopil region, he met with the female pupils of the boarding -college "Znamennya" as well as with the eleven students of the secondary school of the Ozerna village (belonging to Zboriv district). This event took place in the Marian spiritual center, named "Zarvanytsya". The former Head of the UGCC was greeted by the head of the UGCC Commission on Matters of Primmary of Ternopil-Zboriv archdiocese, Fr. Volodymyr Demchuk, by the spiritual leader of the school in Ozerna village, Fr. Mykhaylo Penyaha as well as by other teachers of educational institutions.

In his opening remarks, His Beatitude Liubomyr expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet and stressed the significance of this event for himself also, because he likes Zarvanytsya village a lot. The issues that were addressed to the honorary guest concerned various spheres of spiritual, social and educational life: how a young person should look for his place in the life, how to maintain his Christian identity, and how to be useful to the society.

His Beatitude Liubomyr pointed out that it is the best way to identify our Christian beliefs through the example of our own life. "This will be the most expressive testimony for the ones surrounding us".

With pleasure and warmth priest recalled his childhood, school, teenage years, his first meeting with the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi, who later became an example for him. Particular attention he attracted to the two aspects of the life of Patriarch Josyf: faith and devotion to the science. He considered them to be moments for reflection - as each of us "can serve his people and his Church" and urged: "Be yourself, remain who you are. Work on yourself and acquire a “consciousness” of your personal identity to better serve God."

"To love yourself- means to understand where you come from, to understand that you exist, because this was the will of God, for it is God who gave me the gift of life, talent and all my ability. He gave me the responsibility to do certain things in this world. Only after realizing of all this, the understanding of our importance in the world appears"- indicated Liubomyr Huzar.

In conclusion, Director of the College "Znamennya" Mrs. Anna Zvarych, thanked His Beatitude for the meeting and presented a T-shirt with the image of the logo of the College "Znamennya - the light of my soul" with the label "Zarvanytsya".
