His Beatitude Lubomyr blessed the participants of the 12th Main Meeting of the Secular Institute of Catechists taking place in Brazil

From December 26 to 31, 2008, in the city of Prudentopolis (Brazil), the 12th Main Meeting of the Secular Institute of Catechists of the Heart of Jesus took place. As the organizers noted, the purpose of the meeting is the desire to consider the life, charism, spirituality and formation of the institute. The important task of the participants is to outline their directions of subsequent ministry in Christ’s Church. In addition, because of the end of the term of the previous administration, at the meeting a new main administration was elected. "The date which you have chosen for conducting the meeting looks to me indeed symbolic, because every main meeting of any religious community is a very important moment in which near the foot of the Lord – the master of history and the whole universe – an inspection of the way passed is done and the direction of the subsequent trip in life is set." So His Beatitude Lubomyr wrote in the greeting to the participants of the meeting. The success of these important acts, in the conviction of the Head of UGCC, in large measure depends on how sincerely, humbly and frankly we stand before our Savior, how we thank Him for all successes, ask forgiveness for all failures, and ask for generous grace. "Dear Catechists, I cordially wish you all this. I entrust you to the protection of the Most Holy Mother of God and to the intercession of all the saints whom our Church has given. As an advance sign of divine graces, together with the bishops of our Church in Brazil I bestow on you my hierarchal blessing," the Head of UGCC wrote.
