Today, February 26, 2009, the Head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, His Beatitude Lubomyr, turned 76. On the occasion of his birthday from the different corners of Ukraine and the world, from Ukrainians and representatives of other nations, clergy and laity, politicians and public figures, youth and seniors, greetings flew in for the Head and Father of the UGCC with the sincerest wishes for God’s generous graces and the blessing of his subsequent successful guidance of the Church. Today they wish for the Head of the UGCC that "the Lord God lavish everything which furthers his pastoral ministry, for growth and deepening of mutual brotherly relations between bishops, priests and laity of the Church." The jubilarian himself conducts this day, as in previous years, in a working rhythm: today he is traveling to Donets’k, where from February 27 to March 2 there will be a meeting of the Permanent Synod of Bishops of the UGCC.

Many happy years to His Beatitude!
