The Marian Center in Knock dates back to August 26, 1879. It was then that the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist appeared to fifteen faithful in the local church. Today, the pilgrimage site of Knock, a small town in western Ireland, is considered one of the most renown Marian places in the world. The Divine liturgy, led by His Beatitude Sviatoslav and Bishop Hlib, was co-celebrated with Cardinal Zen of Hong Kong, and Bishop James Conley from Denver (USA),  Rev.Matiy from  South Africa, Monsignor Thomas Fryer from Denver and Rev. Patrick Honlon, a local priest. During the Liturgy, the co-celebrants administered the Sacrament of Extreme Unction to the frail and sick for the healing of the soul and the body. On that day His Beatitude Sviatoslav visited Mt. Croagh Patrick, from which the Irish Saint had blessed Ireland.
