How to make the Church popular among young people? - #youth_asks and the Head of the UGCC answers

The young people themselves should make the Church interesting and trendy for themselves. This was emphasized by the Father and the Head of the UGCC during the conversation with Ukrainian youth from all over the world within the framework of the Wind of Hope festival.

"If you think that your gray-headed bishops will tell the Church how to be trendy, then you hope in vain," said His Beatitude Sviatoslav, reiterating that today the Church's young community is called to make it popular.

According to him, if modern youth sees that there are young Christians who have chosen from hundreds of different proposals exactly what the Church offers, then it is the church youth that will be the agent of promoting the church presence.

The Primate assured his guests that the church hierarchs will try to be together with young people on the Internet in general and on social networks in particular. "However, it is not enough for us to be only present," he said, adding: "You need to infect everyone around you with joy. Then the Church will be present as a ray of light, as a light of hope, for today's youth."

According to the Head of the Church, many different bright, brilliant proposals are, rather, proposals for one day, for a short distance. And the Church and the Lord God offer something lasting, eternal, real.

"Therefore look for what is real! And if you find it, share it with others!” urged the Patriarch.
