In Kherson an ecumenical prayer service for Christian unity took place

On January 27, in the Roman Catholic Holiest Christ’s Heart Church (Kherson), as part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, believers from different Christian communities gathered together for a joint prayer. In the evening the Divine Liturgy was held, which was led by Bronislaw Bernacki (RCC), the administrative bishop of the Odesa-Simferopol Eparchy. With the bishop concelebrated fathers from the Kherson deanery (RCC) and Basilian fathers from the St. Volodymyr the Great Monastery (UGCC).

During the speech Bishop Bronislaw appealed to those present with an appeal of common love, love which unites all.  After the Liturgy the representatives of different confessions read prayers to the Lord about the gift of understanding between people in the world. Fr. Anastasiy Danilevskiy from the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate read the prayer.
