Greek Catholics will not reconcile themselves to the city officials of Khmilnyk (Vinnytsa region), who in order to please the Orthodox, took away, from the Greek Catholic community, the previously allocated land for the temple. This was announced by Bishop Joseph (Milian), Auxiliary Bishop of Kyiv Archeparchy of the UGCC.

"In the conflict, which occurred in Khmilnyk, the authority, unfortunately, took the side of those, who promised massacre. It called off its decision and took away our land. But I am sure that we will not draw a line under it. We will appeal to the relevant governmental agencies", - said Bishop Joseph (Milian) in an interview with CREDO.

Bishop declared that they will demand justice from the power: "I suppose that it is not possible that one is above the law, meanwhile the rights of another are violated".

It should be reminded that the interdenominational conflict in Vinnytsya region, in Khmilnyk, erupted after protest of the Orthodox believers, who were led by the priest, against the erection of chapel by Greek Catholics. The Orthodox even threatened with the slaughter in the case of the construction of the Greek Catholic church.

Even though the chapel will be built at the Catholic cemetery, the Orthodox believe that the Greek Catholic Church desecrate the memory of their ancestors.

"In my opinion, the government does itself a disservice, because it demonstrates own feebleness and support to the illegal actions," - commented the Bishop Joseph on this situation.
