The VII International pedestrian pilgrimage of families of migrant workers and all persons interested from Sambir to Zarvanytsya will take place on 3-12 of August. During the pilgrimage, the theme of which will be “The Vibrant Parish- A Place to Encounter the Living Christ”, the participants will learn how to develop the faith in God and how to share it with others. It was reported by Fr. Vasyl Potochnyak, who is the executive secretary of the Pastoral Missionary department of UGCC and who has organized the ten day pilgrimage from Sambir to Zarvanytsya, which will take place, let us recall, from 3 until the 12th of August and will pass through Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions (the overall length will be 250km). The comments about the pilgrimage and about the life in a separated family are made by the pilgrimage participants. According to brother Pavlo this pilgrimage entails, on the one hand, sad memories about the separation with his mother, and on the other hand, joyful time of a long prayer for his family. This year, it is expected that in addition to Ukrainian families of migrant workers, there will also be an enormous number of guests from Italy, Spain, Portugal, as well as, from other countries. Moreover, among the participants there will be some representatives from Estonia, in particular, Vira Konyk, who is the Head of the Congress of Ukrainians in Estonia and who came to Ukraine specifically for this purpose.
