Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mt. Carmel, Pa.

In the letter from Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson, accompanying the check, he states, “The Knights of Columbus is pleased to support this praiseworthy initiative, begun at the suggestion of His Beatitude Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk.

The letter continues, “In a special way, we are pleased to offer this donation as a tribute in honor of His Excellency Archbishop Stefan Soroka, Metropolitan-Archbishop Emeritus and our highly esteemed brother Knight.    We simply wish to express our admiration for Archbishop Soroka and ask that you remember the Order in prayer before the historic icon of the Mother of God in your parish.”
