Meeting of Patriarchal Commission on Priest’s Education took place in the seminaries of UGCC

From May 25-28, 2010, in the Eastern College in Oikhshtadt, Germany, a meeting of the Patriarchal Commission on Priest’s Education took place in the seminaries of the UGCC. The meeting was led by the Rev. Bishop Ken (Novakivskyj), head of the Patriarchal Commission on Priest’s Education in the seminaries of the UGCC and eparchies of New Westminster for Ukrainian-Catholics in the British Colombia and the Yukon.
From May 25-28, 2010, in the Eastern College in Oikhshtadt, Germany, a meeting of the Patriarchal Commission on Priest’s Education took place in the seminaries of the UGCC.  The meeting was led by the Rev. Bishop Ken (Novakivskyj), head of the Patriarchal Commission on Priest’s Education in the seminaries of the UGCC and eparchies of New Westminster for Ukrainian-Catholics in the British Colombia and the Yukon. In the work of the commission took part Fr. Paul Schmidt, Fr. Oleksandr Levytskyj, Fr. Oleh Kaskiv, Fr. Michael Winn, Fr. Stephan Starepravo, Fr. Ivan Rymar, Fr. Bohdan Danylo, Fr. Pavlo Serbay, Fr. Orest Demko, Fr. Myron Bendyk, Fr. Antonio Roik, Fr. Oleksandr Petrynko, Fr. Mykolay Fredyna, Fr. Robert Lyseyko, and Fr. Vasyl Shafran. As part of this year’s meeting entitled “Seminary education to prepare for the joy of serving as a priest devoted to salvation,” issues regarding pastoral care for our faithful and Ukrainian work migrants were discussed.
