The grand opening of the museum of Sofron Dmyterko, OSBM, took place, in the premises of Basilian Monastery of Christ the King on October 25. An exposition contains documents, personal belongings, items used at Liturgy, letters, books, presents and photos of different periods of life.

An event occurred within a parochial feast at Church of Christ the King, where retreats held by Fr. Nikanor Sytar, OSBM had been lasting for three days before.

On Sunday, a festive Hierarchal Divine Liturgy was led by eparch of Kolomyia, Vasyl Ivasiuk. During a common prayer the bishop ordained five monks to the rank of a deacon. “A deacon is obliged to serve Mother-Church flawlessly, love the beauty of a temple and be the first to light up light of glory in hearts of people. Grace of the Holy Spirit may help us to serve with honor in the modern world”, bishop Vasyliy emphasized, addressing newly ordained monks.

Parishioners, who were willing to join in celebration, could participate in a prayer online.

After the Divine Liturgy all those who were present at the church went in a procession to the monastery, where bishop Vasyliy consecrated a museum dedicated to a prominent figure of Basilian order – of blessed memory bishop Sofron Dmyterko.
