“Our aim is to be the voice of the Ukrainian society, to declare the strivings of Ukrainian citizens for Euro integration,” continued the Hierarch of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church during the meeting of the members of AUCCRO with the President of Ukraine, on March 21 at the offices of the Administration of the President. The Primate of UGCC noted that for Europe, the voice of the civil society is very important.
“Our aim is to be the voice of the Ukrainian society, to declare the strivings of Ukrainian citizens for Euro integration,” continued  the Hierarch of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church during the meeting of the members of AUCCRO with the President of Ukraine, on March 21 at the offices of the Administration of the President.  The Primate of UGCC noted that for Europe, the voice of the civil society is very important. This statement was made by Patriarch Sviatoslav in reference to AUCCRO delegation to Brussels which was to begin exactly today.  He emphasized the significance of the presence of AUCCRO representatives within the European Union framework.  “It is very important to be present in the structures of the European Union,” stated Patriarch Sviatoslav.  He said that in EU there already are representatives of the Holy See, the Russian Orthodox Church and other world religious organizations. The Primate of UGCC also noted that the AUCCRO delegation’s meeting with the EU directors in Brussels has not been cancelled, but simply moved to a new date. Moreover, according to the Hierarch, there are already planned visits of AUCCRO to USA and Canada with meetings at the highest levels.
