The competition “The Information Side of a Parish,” which was held as part of the 4th Social Days of UGCC, exposed the success of the parishes’ press services. In the contest participated 20 periodicals and 5 web pages from UGCC parishes in Ukraine as well as Canada, Spain, and Poland. The materials were reviewed by a competent jury consisting of Fr. Ihor Yatsiv, the head of Information Department of the UGCC, Taras Antoshevsky, the director of the Religious Information Service of Ukraine, and Fr. Pavlo Hud, the head of the Department of Eparchial Press Services of UGCC. The main criteria for determining the winner were informative materials, in particular the presentation of local and general church news, documents, and issues. No less attention was paid to the duration and frequency of the publication. The winners will be awarded on November 14 in Kyiv after the liturgy at the Annunciation Church of the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. Organizers of the competition decided to hold the competition annually as part of the Social Days of the UGCC.
