Pastoral meeting of Greek Catholic priests of Russia and Kazakhstan

From October 19 to 22, in the Russian city of Cheliabinsk, a pastoral conference of the Greek Catholic clergy was held with the participation of the Apostolic Nuncio in Russia Antonio Mennini, Ordinary of the Greek Catholics in Russia Bishop Yosyf Vert, Apostolic Delegate of the Congregation of the Eastern Churches for Greek Catholics in the Eastern and Central Asia Fr. Vasyl Hovera, and priests and nuns serving in Russia and Kazakhstan.
From October 19 to 22, in the Russian city of Cheliabinsk, a pastoral conference of the Greek Catholic clergy was held with the participation of the Apostolic Nuncio in Russia Antonio Mennini, Ordinary of the Greek Catholics in Russia Bishop Yosyf Vert, Apostolic Delegate of the Congregation of the Eastern Churches for Greek Catholics in the Eastern and Central Asia Fr. Vasyl Hovera, and priests and nuns serving in Russia and Kazakhstan.  Professor of theology at the University Notre Dame (USA), Fr. Dr. Yurii Avvakumov was a special guest of the conference. He made several reports on the history of Greek Catholics in Russia, the figures of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky and Exarch of the Russian Greek Catholics, Blessed Martyr Leonid Fiodorov. Also, Bishop Yosyf Vert and Nuncio Antonio Mennini met with the parishioners of Greek Catholic communities of the city of Cheliabinsk and Kopeisk pastored by a local parish priest Andrii Zverev.
