Program of 10th National Pilgrimage of Catholic Schools to Zarvanytsia discussed in Lviv

A meeting of directors of UGCC Catholic schools, which was organized and hosted by the head of the UGCC Commission on Matters of Primary Education Sister Khrystofora Bushtyn, SSMI, was held on February 23, 2012, at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. The participants agreed on the program for the 10th National Pilgrimage of Catholic Schools to Zarvanytsia and adopted its symbols.
A meeting of directors of UGCC Catholic schools, which was organized and hosted by the head of the UGCC Commission on Matters of Primary Education Sister Khrystofora Bushtyn, SSMI, was held on February 23, 2012, at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. The participants agreed on the program for the 10th National Pilgrimage of Catholic Schools to Zarvanytsia and adopted its symbols. Fr. Ivan Hnativ, the former head of the Commission on Matters of Primary Education, took part in the meeting. He shared his experiences in holding such pilgrimages. The meeting was also attended by Pavlo Khobzey, vice rector of UCU, who spoke to representatives of Catholic schools about opportunities for education at UCU; he also reported on the problem of the status of Catholic schools in Ukraine. Organizers are planning to invite the head of the UGCC, Patriarch Sviatoslav (Shevchuk), to participate in the pilgrimage. Each Catholic school will have an opportunity to present their students. At the end of the meeting, Fr. Roman Lahish, head of the Postulation Center of the UGCC, handed out to members of the meeting a collection of works by Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky.
