On June 24 an agreement about the cooperation between the civil organization Joint Work and the Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyja-Chernivtsi eparchies of the UGCC was signed. The documents about cooperation were signed at the administration building of the Kolomyja-Chernivtsi Eparchy by Bishop Mykolay (Simkaylo), Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn), and the former head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration (ODA) Mykola Paliychuk, who is currently the head of Joint Work. “Our organization is prepared to cooperate with the clergy, church societies, and organizations. We have signed the agreement and support the projects of various spiritual TV programs, which the church produces. We are planning a few projects to support orphans and the disabled.  The purpose of our organization is to offer support to those who need it. Certainly, we can not help everyone and that is why we cooperate with the church,” said Mr. Paliychuk. Bishop Mikolay described the activity of the Kolomyja-Chernivtsi Eparchy in the mentioned areas. The participants of the signing visited the former building of school № 4 of the city Kolomyja, which in a run-down state was passed to the eparchy. Now the building is undergoing renovation so that it can house orphans. The participants also visited the Transfiguration of Christ Cathedral, which is also is also undergoing some renovation.
