School Directors of Ukraine in Lviv discussed a person in church

On April 12th, at the All-Ukrainian Scholarly – Practical Conference on “Education in Lviv – a significant factor of one’s quality of life in society,” initiated by the Association of Directors of Schools in Ukraine, the Educational Administration of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of Lviv City Council, and the Association of School Directors in Lviv, a meeting of Ukraine’s school directors was held focusing on the topic “An open conversation about a real person in church.”

On April 12th, at the All-Ukrainian Scholarly – Practical Conference on “Education in Lviv – a significant factor of one’s quality of life in society,” initiated by the Association of Directors of Schools in Ukraine, the Educational Administration of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of Lviv City Council, and the Association of School Directors in Lviv, a meeting of Ukraine’s school directors was held focusing on the topic “An open conversation about a real person in church.”

The participants prayed together at Vespers to the Holy Virgin Mother with the superior of St. George Cathedral, Rev. Roman Kravchyk, who greeted the distinguished city guests and urged representatives of the intelligentsia to a conscientious fulfillment of their educational obligations in the spirit of Christian education.

Afterwards, Sr. Khrystofyra Bushtyn, head of UGCC Commission on Primary Education, thanked all who attended and presented each school director with A Diary of a Christian Pedagogue as a memento of the gathering. At the end, all participants had the possibility of visiting the Metropolitan Residences of the St. George Archcathedral and to personally talk with Bishop Ihor (Vozniak), the Metropolitan of Lviv.

During the interchange, Bishop Ihor (Vozniak) wished all educators success, patience, inspiration and love of their profession. “May you be the ones who not only pass on knowledge but also convey a good example and work for the education of youth,” added the Metropolitan.

In conclusion, the Bishop led an excursion through the Metropolitan Residences, offering a historical commentary.
