“Sing, heart, to God and Ukraine”

The tenth International Competition of Contemporary Religious Music “Song of the Heart” will be held. The purpose of the competition is to spread and enrich the cultural and spiritual values of the Ukrainian nation by creating and popularizing contemporary religious music among Ukrainian Christians of the world.
The tenth International Competition of Contemporary Religious Music “Song of the Heart” will be held. The purpose of the competition is to spread and enrich the cultural and spiritual values of the Ukrainian nation by creating and popularizing contemporary religious music among Ukrainian Christians of the world. The task of the competition: to announce Christ’s good news through song; to expose and support talented authors and performers of contemporary religious music; to aesthetically and spiritually develop the young generation; and to support the spiritual connection and mutual enrichment of Ukrainian Christians in the world. The songs must represent an essence of the Christian vocation, Christian values. Only children’s (according to the age of the participant) songs in the Ukrainian language can be performed at the competition. Author’s songs (written by the participants of the competition) are preferred. The competition is held at four levels: parochial, deanery, eparchial, and patriarchal, and at three age groups: first age group – 7-10 years; second age group – 11-13 years; third age group – 14-18 years.  An eparchial selection round will be held on May 16, 2010, at the Central National House (T. Shevchenko, St. 1) from 11:30 a.m. (registration of the participants from 10:30 a.m.).
