Social Week of the UGCC

From October 31 to November 6, 2009, in Kyiv, for the second time after the proclamation of independence, the Social Week of the UGCC will be held. The Social Week of the UGCC is a traditional public forum for the discussion of problems of society and to maintain Christian, religious, and human values. The theme of this year’s Social Week: Reconciliation as a Gift of God. Being based on the centenary tradition of similar events in the world, the Social Week of UGCC is called to bring attention to: the problems of education and science; people with the mental illnesses and imprisoned, orphans; to support those, who every day work on resolving social problems and to learn on their experience; to stimulate the conduction of research, discussions, and actions – individually and in a group, and also at the level of the state.
