His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, congratulated the bishop-nominee Milan Milan Stipić on his election as the ruling bishop of the Diocese of Križevci for the faithful of the Byzantine rite (Croatia).

The Head of the Church noted that the election of Father Milan as bishop was approved by the Holy Father Francis and is the fruit of the prayers of many priests, monks and nuns and laity.

“In prayer, we give thanks to the merciful Lord for this great gift and wish that His right hand will always be open to you, filling you with generous gifts. We ask the Lord God that for the Greek Catholics living in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, you may become a good father, a zealous preacher of the Word of God," it is said in the greeting.

For his part, the Father and the Head of the UGCC promised the newly appointed bishop his support, which, according to him, is filled with brotherly love in Christ the Lord for the development of His Mystical Body - the Church, apparently present in the Diocese of Križevci.

“May the Lord God always be with you, strengthening you spiritually and physically, giving you joy, peace and love. We ask for this together with all the bishops of our Church, praying for the generous graces of God, necessary for the proper realization of your ministry,” the Primate of the UGCC wished.
