The Head of the UGCC told His Holiness about the situation in Ukraine

On 24th-25th of May in Vatican was held IX session meeting of the Ordinary Council of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops. The work was set under the individual chairmanship of Holy Father Francis.

The Head of the UGCC, His Beatitude Sviatoslav took part in the meeting of the Council as a member of the Council of the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops. During the workout process of this body of the universal Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav met with Pope Francis who got interested in all events happened in Ukraine and assured once again in his propinquity to the Ukrainian people and constant praying for everybody who suffers.

On the agenda of a meeting is an adapting of the project "Instrumentum Laboris" and methodology of conducting the XIV General Assembly of Pope’s Synod that is going to be held in October 2015, on topic “Mission and vocation in family and Church in a modern world”.
