On 6 May not far from Paris the Father and the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, met with Ukrainian priests of France, Belgium, Germany and several other European countries, who are just these days having spiritual retreats with Bishop Vasyl’ (Tuchapets), Exarch of Kharkiv.

In His address to the priests, the Head of the UGCC stressed the need for the presence of the Church in the media, especially in the context of the events of today. His Beatitude Sviatoslav noted that this media activity is very important for the missionary activity of the Church. "This presence is also a part of the priests’ service", - stressed the Head of the UGCC.

Comparing the threats and challenges facing pastors in the area of ATO and pastors in Europe, the Head of the Church said that unlike the European environment in the firing line there are no atheists, and regarding the spiritual aspects, European society put before priests some serious questions, perhaps even greater than to those who are on the territory of ATO.

As we reported, on May 6 started pastoral visit of His Beatitude Sviatoslav in France. It will last until 11 May.
