The Head of the UGCC will visit the X International Christmas Festival Kolyada on the Maizli

The Executive Committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council approved the program of the Xth International Christmas Festival "Kolyada on the Maizli".

It is expected that this year's festival will feature Nina Matvienko, Maria Burmaka, as well as many collectives from Ukraine and from abroad. The grand opening of the festival will begin on Tuesday, January 8, with the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, headed by Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk Volodymyr Vijtyshyn. Then a concert program with the participation of People's Artist of Ukraine Nina Matvienko, Municipal Academic Male Choir named after L.M. Revutsky, and other participants and guests of the festival will take place on Vichevyj Square.


From the 9th to the 13th of January in the monastery of the King Christ will be the festival performances. On January 13, the Christmas procession will take place in the city from the monastery of the King Christ along the Independence Street to Vichevyj Square, where the participants and guests of the festival will perform.


On January 14, the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be held with the participation of the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church His Beatitude Svyatoslav and Archbishop Volodymyr Vijtyshyn, the Metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk. The festival will end with a gala concert with the participation of People's Artist of Ukraine Maria Burmaka and Gypsy Lyre.
