The Head of the UGCC: “Youth association forms valuable priorities of a young person while they getting older”

In his letter the Head of the Church appreciates all efforts made by those who contributed to the organization and holding the Congress. He thanked sincerely in person and on behalf of the UGCC Synod of Bishops, paying a due respect to UYA which are functioning in more than 10 countries for a diligent work for the sake of youth upbringing: “You are those who form valuable priorities of a young person while they are getting older. It is a big and responsible mission at the same time, since our future depends on our way of youth upbringing. Thousands of young people conveyed the essence of UYA postulates by setting their own example and even giving their lives away”.

He believes such community is very important as it constructs a model of a development of world famous youth organization for the next five years. “What kind of leaders, control authorities and work perspectives we will have – depends on us only. So I am calling you for accomplishing tasks set by Community with a big responsibility”.

The Head of the UGCC adds that under the present circumstances a young person is put before great challenges which can, on the one hand, stimulates them to take a position of an indifferent personality, who due to the cultural and national assimilation lose their identity; and on the other hand – helps them to acquire human’s values: freedom, fidelity in their vocation, sacrifice, etc.

“Another important task put before them is to strengthen beliefs that without God’s assistance, without adopting main Christians principles and implementing them in life we won’t be able to build a country of our dreams. To help to accomplish this task, I would like to suggest you the loving hand of Church, which is always ready to support your good intentions regarding youth upbringing”, - writes in his letter the Head of the Church.
